Orientation Leaders at Centre

The College has designed a peer-advising program using current students to assist new students in their transitions into the academic life of the College. The Orientation Leaders are selected in the spring of the preceding year and officially introduce new students to the Centre community by writing to them during the summer and participating in all activities during the five day orientation program prior to the beginning of classes. These leaders serve as liaisons between the academic advisors of new students and their advisees. Also, Orientation Leaders provide leadership for new students by designing and participating in social events for first-year students. Students are also subject to receive a citation for “failure to comply” for unexcused absences at orientation events.
