ANT 380 Archaeology: Theory and Practice

This course focuses on the methods and theories archaeologists use to reconstruct past societies. Hands-on field and analysis activities give students practical experience asking archaeological questions, designing research strategies, collecting survey and excavation data, curating and analyzing artifacts in the lab, qualitatively and quantitatively analyzing data, and applying this analysis to larger questions about ancient cultures.
