ARS 103 Art: 3D Design Basics

This course will teach students the fundamentals of working with 3D form and space. The course will include instruction in the use of provisional modeling materials, such as cardboard and hot glue and an introduction to woodworking. We will also cover several additional techniques including, but not limited to; orthographic drawing, cold glass construction, flame working glass, and plaster casting. Students will be expected to use the skills learned in class to design and build three-dimensional projects reflecting their individual interpretations of assigned creative prompts.
