ECO 476 Equity Research and Financial Modeling

In this course students learn how to construct a complete financial model of a company and analyze a company from an investment and valuation standpoint. Students create projected financial statements and value a company using different valuation methods like comparable company analysis, discounted cash flow analysis, precedent transaction analysis, and Monte Carlo simulation. A major component of the course is writing a professional investment analysis (equity research) report for a publicly traded company.
