THR 348 Contemporary Women Playwrights
This class will take us on a tour of some of the most noteworthy women playwrights of the 20th & 21st centuries. We will discuss why it is important to pay attention to the role and contributions of women in theatre, with a particular focus on plays by American women. From Drama to Comedy and all points in between, we’ll set aside what we think we know about the “established canon” and listen to these valuable voices that are too often left out.
