Summer Teaching

Normally, Centre College does not offer summer courses. Faculty members may offer independent study courses for interested students (subject to the normal approval process for independent studies). Many faculty members also mentor academic internships during the summer.

For independent studies, instructors are paid three-fourths of the tuition amount charged to the student. Internship mentors are paid $250 per student intern (up to four). The stipend for faculty internship mentors is subject to change as it is currently supported by a grant from the James Graham Brown Foundation.
