ECO 358 Applied Economics and Finance

This course is a hands-on, applications-oriented tour of using technology to employ theoretical models in finance and economics. Using Excel, students will become familiar with data analysis techniques to solve frequently encountered problems in the academic and non-academic environments. Topics covered include but are not limited to data visualization, common models in economics (e.g. utility maximization, cost minimization, macroeconomic models), and financial analysis.
