POL 330 Parties, Campaigns and Elections

This course examines some of the fundamental mechanisms through which American citizens can influence their democratic system: political parties and elections. We examine the role and function of political parties, as well as how they interact with different electoral systems. We further examine modern American political campaigns, with an emphasis on describing, analyzing, and explaining the strategies and outcomes of national presidential elections.
