Appendix E: Faculty and Professional Staff Benefits Summary

A summary of Faculty and professional staff benefits is available on the Human Resources Department web site for review by any plan participant or beneficiary. These plan documents or policies are the only official and binding documents concerning the College's welfare and pension benefits. Questions concerning the benefits offered by the College should be directed to the Human Resources Department in the Administrative Services Office.

The College specifically reserves the exclusive right to interpret, amend, revise or terminate these benefit and welfare programs at any time, at its sole discretion, with or without prior notice. The benefits described herein are not conditions of employment and the language is not intended to create and does not create a contract between the College and its employees.

For the purpose of this benefits summary, full-time Faculty are defined as those Faculty members who teach a minimum of six courses or an equivalent combination of courses and additional duties, and full-time professional staff are employees who work a minimum regular schedule of 35 hours per week. Part-time faculty and professional staff hired prior to August 1, 1996 will be eligible for the part-time benefits in effect prior to that date.
