Appendix I: Search Guidelines – Administrative Officers

For the Office of the President of the College

The Board of Trustees selects the President of the College. In the past, Presidential Search Committees have included three Faculty as full participating, non-voting members, and the Board intends to continue this practice. Faculty members will be selected by the Chair of the Search Committee from a slate nominated by the Faculty Steering Committee.

For the Office of Dean and Vice President of Academic Affairs

At least four full-time members of the Faculty shall serve on the search committee. These members shall be selected by the Faculty Steering Committee. At least one member from each academic division shall be selected. All Faculty members on the search committee shall have full voting rights. The chair of the committee shall be a Faculty member selected by the President of the College and may be an additional member of the Faculty who is not among those already selected by the Steering Committee but who is named to the committee by the President.

For All Other Vice-Presidential Level Appointments, and for the Director of Athletics and Recreation

At least three Faculty members shall serve on the search committee with full voting rights. These members shall be selected by the President from a slate of nominees presented by the Faculty Steering Committee.
