President's Letter

Dear Students:

Welcome! The 2019-2020 year awaits, and it promises to be another remarkable one! We are excited to have you join us for the first time or as a returning member of the Centre community. Either way, the beginning of any school year brings with it feelings of anticipation, excitement, adventure, joy, and gratitude. What an opportunity you have to prepare yourself for citizen-leadership on a global level.  Plan to make the most of it!

This document describes in some detail the Centre policies that enable all of us to live together harmoniously in a select, vibrant, intense, and diverse academic community. The self-regulation on which these policies are largely based assumes that Centre students are young adults who will act responsibly and will accord every other person in the community the same dignity and kindness they themselves expect. In simple terms, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

You will find that the Centre faculty, staff, facilities, organizations, and activities listed here have a common purpose – to provide Centre students with a challenging and rich experience of intellectual and personal growth that will change their lives forever and for good; prepare you to be citizen-leaders of the highest quality.

We live in a country, and you have chosen a College, where we expect the best from you and each other. It’s what we do; the way we are - welcome!

Sincerely,

John Roush
President
