IST 260 Theories of Race and Ethnicity in International Studies

This discussion-based course examines theories of race and ethnicity that emerge from the experiences of minoritized communities in diverse geographic and sociopolitical contexts. Through multimodal, critical, and comparative engagement with traditional and art-based knowledge sources, the course guides students toward identifying global trends in racism and anti-racism and their unique, historically specific local and regional manifestations.
