PSY 295 Physiological Psychology
An introduction to the biological basis of behavior. This course begins with a detailed study of anatomy and function of cells in the nervous system. These concepts are then used to understand the relationship between neural function and specific behaviors, including vision, sleep, reproduction, emotion, as well as neurological and psychological disorders. Emphasis is placed on the neural systems level of analysis with special consideration of neural circuitry. Laboratory work is required. Not open to students with credit for BNS 295.
