IST 381 Sport, Africa, & Development
This course will explore sport as an international development practice, addressing both opportunities and critiques, with a specific regional focus on Africa. Political, economic, and social impacts of global sporting events, like the Olympics, will be examined, along with topics such as gender, youth studies, Sport for Development & Peace (SDP) policies, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
