Student Government Association (SGA)

The Student Government Association is the official executive and legislative body for student discussion, decision, and action. It is composed of student representatives elected on both an academic and class-standing basis, as well as several appointed committee chairpersons. The Student Government Association is the primary channel for the development and review of residential and social policies, as well as for students to voice opinions related to academic issues. A major duty of the SGA is to allocate funds to student organizations. The College allots part of each student’s general activity fee to the SGA, which in turn reviews funding requests from campus organizations and acts upon them.

The President’s Cabinet of the Student Government Association for 2024-2025 includes: Kasey Montgomery, President; Samuel Cotthoff, Speaker of the House; Sasha Haunz, Secretary of Finance; Elena Rodrigues, Secretary of Administration; Katie Ramsey, Vice President of Programming; Caroline Koenig, Campus Improvements Committee Chair; Pranjal Shrestha, Student Affairs Committee Chair; Jane Daniels/Sophia Koppensteiner, Communications Committee Chairs; Alvin Aligbe/Carter Smith, Dining Services Committee Chairs; Emma Beltzer, President of the Senate; Monse Muniz/Sabreen Hussain, Campus Culture Chair.

The Dean of Students serves as advisor to the Student Government Association and Student Senators.
