ARS 350 Photography-II

This course is designed to further the study of the art, history, and theory of photographic practices as well as digital photographic production processes. Students will continue to explore the expressive power of light and a spectrum of aesthetic and conceptual possibilities. Technical demonstrations will be combined with presentations of the work of photographic artists, discussion of critical readings, and group critiques of photographic assignments. Students will expand their understanding of contemporary photographic art practice and criticism; the use of studio and location lighting; digital capture and editing including histograms, file management, batch processing, and HDR techniques; and various print technologies.
