ARS 320 Intermediate Painting: Figure; Landscape
Students enrolling in this course should be proficient in drawing the human figure from life, and in basic oil painting of still life objects from direct observation. Painting the human figure from life will be the focus of study for most of the term. Other topics may be included, such as on-site landscape painting, portraiture, or master copies. Research and writing assignments on historic and contemporary painting and drawing will accompany the studio work.
