ARS 321 Advanced Painting and Drawing
Students enrolling in this course should have completed two terms of study in oil painting, with an emphasis on working from life, and have proficiency in life drawing and anatomy. One major aim of the course will be the achievement of confident proficiency in painting and drawing the human figure from life. Students will be expected to be working independently on major projects outside of class time. Research and writing assignments on historic and contemporary painting and drawing will accompany the studio work.
