CHE 362 Quantum Chemistry and Spectroscopy

A study of quantum mechanics and molecular spectroscopy. Topics include the Schrödinger equation and its application to molecular systems, molecular orbital theory, angular momentum, and approximation methods. Spectroscopic techniques include infrared, Raman and ultraviolet-visible. Additional topics will be chosen from group theory, NMR spectroscopy, laser spectroscopy and photochemistry.
