IST 361 Global Challenges and Social Justice
This discussion-based course examines the root causes of major global problems through the lens of critical theory and grassroots resistance movements around the world. We explore the question who can be at home in the world? We will use an interdisciplinary lens for inquiry as we critically explore themes such as dispossession, dislocation, and disability and center issues such as forced migration, race and gender hierarchies, and climate justice. Prerequisite: IST 110.
