Engineering Studies
Division of Social Studies
The Engineering Studies major provides students with a technical background in engineering fundamentals paired with coursework in humanities, social science, or the natural sciences. The major is designed for students interested in careers such as Architecture, Environmental Science, Entrepreneurship, or other technical professions.
Students considering the Engineering Studies major are encouraged to meet with an engineering faculty member in their first semester to discuss their interests and to plan a course of study that best supports their goals.

Recommended First-Year/Sophomore Preparation
Students with an interest in engineering are strongly encouraged to discuss their first term schedule with an engineering faculty member before registering for classes. EGR 110 should be taken as a first-year student.
