Failure to Provide Identification Policy
To support a safe and welcoming campus environment, Public Safety provides escort services to all members of the college community, including students, faculty, staff, and guests.
Purpose
Escort services are available to assist individuals who may require support due to illness, injury, disability, or personal safety concerns. These services are intended to help members of our community feel secure while moving across campus, especially during evening hours or in situations where they may feel vulnerable.
Service Availability
Who is eligible: All students, faculty, staff, and campus guests.
When services are offered: Escorts are available year-round, 24/7, as staffing and emergency response demands permit.
Where escorts are provided:
- Primarily on campus and college-owned properties.
- Exception: Transportation to and from the Ephraim McDowell Emergency Room may be provided for medical-related situations.
Due to the need for rapid response to on-campus incidents, escort services are not available off campus except under extraordinary circumstances, which will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
