Diversity and Inclusion

Centre has an abiding commitment to serve the diverse needs of the College community, to actively promote an inclusive environment, and to develop individuals’ capabilities as community members through programs, workshops, and special events. Furthermore, Centre appreciates the educational role of diversity on campus and actively works to build, maintain, and expand a community architecture of inclusion and full participation. The Centre College Committee on Diversity and Community, comprised of faculty, staff and students, has a primary purpose to provide learning opportunities that promote understanding, confront injustice, and support communal well-being. Additionally, students have the opportunity to join various student organizations, such as the Diversity Student Union, Jewish Students Organization, Centre Pride Alliance, and the Muslim Students Association that share in the College’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, and community.
