CRW 180 The Art of Translation
In this course we will think broadly about what translation can be, reading essays on the act of translation by practitioners and experimenting with their ideas via writing exercises. We will also work on and workshop as a group one longer translation by each student. Students with knowledge of any non-English language are encouraged to enroll; all translations done for class credit will be from the source language into English.
Prerequisite
Reading knowledge of one language other than English.
