ENG 331 Appalachian Literature and the Environment

This course introduces students to the work of Appalachian writers, across genres and time periods, whose work engages with the region's environmental circumstances. Students will also gain an understanding of the historical and cultural contexts surrounding these literary works by reading secondary source material by literary scholars, historians, and environmental studies.
