MAT 130 Introduction to Statistics
An investigation into the mathematical techniques for analyzing and interpreting data with the goal of understanding our world and facilitating informed decision-making processes. The course involves descriptive and inferential methods. Both traditional and randomization approaches are used. Specific topics include measures of center and spread; data visualization; linear regression; Normal and t-distributions; hypothesis testing; and confidence intervals. Statistical software is used for analyses.
