POL 220 Law and Society
Can the FBI hold your phone up to your face to unlock and search its contents? How will AI transform the court system and the practice of law? Who owns and controls your data? How should the law regulate technological developments, or can it? This course explores the impact of technology on our law and society. As American (and Global) society becomes increasingly shaped by technology, law often struggles to keep pace with evolving technology. We will examine many policy questions implicated at the intersection of law, society, and technology.
