CHN 410 Advanced Chinese-I
The first segment in the Advanced Chinese series aims to help students develop advanced Chinese language skills, with an emphasis on literary reading and translation. Students will increase their reading and translation proficiency while studying, discussing, and debating social issues presented in pre-modern and modern Chinese literary texts. Students will engage in meaningful communication on increasingly abstract topics in order to close the gap between their cognitive and linguistic abilities. Students will conduct independent research on a topic of their choice.
