MAT 261 Mathematically Exploring the Biological World

This course will provide an introduction to mathematical modeling specifically focusing on biological applications. We will develop the modeling techniques of formulation, implementation, validation, and analysis. We will use computational software to simulate and explore the models. Using data acquired through case studies and experimental activities, we will experience the utility of models in understanding complex systems and making predictions.
