BIO 315 Freshwater Ecology

An introduction to the physical, chemical, and biological processes associated with freshwater habitats, with a particular focus on lotic systems. Topics covered include: water chemistry, habitat classification, evolutionary adaptations, population dynamics, community structure and species interactions, water quality monitoring, and human impacts. Weekly laboratory required. Field work is a required part of the laboratory component of this course.
